The Orange Marigold
I adore flowers. Their beauty always amazes me. It always will.
One spring day, I was walking pass the nearby gas station. In one of the flower pots, I saw a tiny orange blossom of a marigold flower. This was unusual to me because I typically see these beauties in the fall. I considered it a treat.
I watched that small orange blossom grow into a small bush. I felt deep peace whenever I saw it. I even made it a point to walk by the plant. I found myself telling the plant how beautiful it was to me. The nearby smokers would give me odd looks but I didn’t mind. The plant was so pretty!
After a few months, the orange marigold completed it’s life cycle. Yes, I grieved over a plant. This plant always brought a smile to my face. In the server world, genuine smiles are truly wonderful to behold.
Imagine my surprise when I saw one of the seeds from my marigold friend begin to grow. I was thrilled. Because let me tell you this. A server job is a stressful one. Holding precious moments close to one’s heart is incredibly special.
