The Server Runway
I’ve been wearing uniforms for a long time. Over the years, my weak sense of fashion has nose dived. I decided to do something about it. I went to youtube to look at the latest fasion trends from top designers to get a feel of what’s hot and what’s not.
Then I started researching the top models from the 90’s. Of all the models out there, Naomi Campbell is hands down my favorite. Have you seen her cat walk? Fierce. Confident. Sexy. Graceful.

There’s a pathway that all servers, bussers, and food runners must take. It’s oh, about 10 yards in length or so? Patrons are usually people watching while they wait for their food or beverage anyway.
Can we say runway? Yes we can!
Being a model is all about the walk. All eyes are on you, the server. We walk throughout our entire shift. So, quoting RuPaul ” Supermodel work! Turn to the left. Work! Turn to the right! Do your thing on the runway.”
Might as well work the runway. Show off the food while you’re at it!
