Dinner Dolls
Good evening everybody! I must preface this first. I’m working on staying calm during my shift. After totally failing the “keeping my cool under pressure” test last Sunday, I decided refocus and try again.
God’s got jokes though.
I just had guests sit down in my section. The guests included two adults, two beautiful little girls, and 4 dolls sitting at my table. You read that correctly. There were four dolls sitting at my table like people. Two American Girl dolls sat by one girl while another two dolls sat by the other.
I was so confused! So I found the closest mom (and aunt) server and asked for advice. Because in my world, if I was fortunate enough to own a $100 doll, it would not be in a bbq restaurant. But hey, different parenting skills are needed for different generations, I guess.
I didn’t fuss. I didn’t lose my cool. And everyone there, dolls included, had a good night.
