Had a bit of writer’s block but I’m baack! Here’s a compilation of real conversations I’ve had in the past couple of months…
Husband- (to me) Do you deliver?
Wife-*huge sigh* Just say no to that question.
Little girl- I’m in the first grade!
Dad- She’s going to be in the first grade.
Little girl- Going to be. (sees a book at the hostess stand) I have a coloring book like that I didn’t know restaurants do too that’s so cool I have crayons and I like to color! My name is…
(Left the punctuation out on purpose. She was so excited.)
Husband- Take a look at her. Doesn’t my wife look like she belongs in an insane asylum?
(The wife glares and smiles while shaking her head.)
Me- I heard couches are really comfortable on Sunday nights.
Wife- and Monday nights and Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights too.
(We all laugh.)
You never know what will happen in the service industry. Gotta be on toes and flexible. No job like it.
